Get over it speedrun game4/5/2024 ![]() Well sure, points as such are not the most important for individual players, but it is still not great - rating can be a motivator to some capacity, whether we like it or not. It encourages rating manipulatuon and its why a player can make a 400 rated account on here in the 1st place. This is an example of why lichess no longer makes exceptions for speedruns. Not even about the points it's just the fact hes undermining their competitive matches which is not what people expect when signing up. By doing it like this, they are forced to play a higher rated person even though some of them do not want to. That way those willing would play much higher rated person if they wish. If you really want an experience of playing against lower rated people, either play unrated games with them, or play rated games with your real rating on the line. Titled players ask for a specific permission and affected accounts get their points back if they lose such games. So you probably even lost some games on purpose so you can remain lower rated for a longer time. On top of it all, I see that you have many losses in the beginning. If you play them as a 1 700 rated players they wouldn't lose a single point for instance. So what you've been doing is that you've presented yourself as a 400 rated player which is far from your rating, bashing beginners in rated games, taking their points in the process as if they were playing against some other 400 rated player. If you don't know your initial rating, it is one thing, but you've said it yourself that you had a rating of 1 700 in rapid just before closing the account. ![]() Well, even though you've closed your previous account, this is still not allowed by their rules because it is a certain case of sandbagging or an artificial rating manipulation. I never knew playing and winning in your website does count as fair play violations. Hey wait, isn't chess as a whole like that?Ĭ I am so afraid. So in the end my urge to all of you to have this fun ride and share your experience in this thread.Īlert: It will soak up lot of your energy and time. While to reach 1501 from 400, my record in Blitz is (150/86/12) in Bullet it's (45/13/1).īut keeping everything in mind, it was a very fun ride, though sometimes you would feel why did you take that challenge. But surprisingly it was relatively a very easy ride. Now it's time to get my hands dirty in bullet. Somehow I crawled past 1500 in blitz and got completely worn out. That's why nobody is reading your blabbering. OK that's why nobody is giving a damn about your speedrun experience. OK that's why nobody is watching your speedrun videos. You are winning 15 games, losing almost 10 games. Because there are no spped in it and you are not even running. Once you get past 1400, ohh my God What happened to your speedrun. ![]() Are you really 1700? You start meeting one two cheaters here and there, but its not a problem as you are playing 3 min blitz. You would start to question your real rating. Once you get past 1300, you would be put under lot of hindrance, lot of pressure. From 1000 to 1200 you would start to feel a little hindrance, a little resistance you would lose some games here and there. You would also think of opening a twitch stream and make some speedrun series. You would start to think yourself the very Hikaru. In my experience it's much easier to start at 1800 and sit around in the range of 1650 to 1800 after let's say 20 to 30 games. ![]() So, I deleted my previous account (blitz, rapid ~1700 and bullet ~1600) and opened this one like a month ago and dreamt of climbing to my normal rating.įrankly speaking its terribly difficult and time consuming to say the least. We, being a mere mortals, sometimes dream to be like them. I have been obsessed with the speedruns lately, mainly seeing the streamers like Hikaru, Danya, Hansen.
